Everything companies and executives ask us before engaging — how fractional executive leadership works, what it costs, and how we protect what matters.
Section 01
For Companies
What is a fractional CEO, CFO, Chief Partnership Officer, or COO?
A fractional executive is a senior female leader who works with your business on a part-time or defined-scope basis, rather than as a full-time hire. You get proven executive judgment and immediate execution without the cost, timeline, or commitment of a permanent placement.
How is this different from hiring a consultant or advisory firm?
Consultants and advisory firms advise from outside. Our executives lead from inside. They sit within your team, own outcomes, make decisions, and are accountable for results — the same way a full-time hire would be, just on a fractional footprint.
Which divisions are included?
CEO, CFO, Chief Partnership Officer, and COO. Altevere helps you determine which division — or divisions — your business actually needs and builds the bench around it, so you don't have to know the exact mix going in.
Do I have to engage the full executive bench, or can I start with one division?
Either. You can engage a single division — just a CFO, or just a COO — or the full bench across all four. Altevere manages the team either way, so you always have one point of contact, whether it's one executive or four.
How quickly can an executive start?
Because our network is pre-vetted, most companies are speaking with a shortlisted executive within days of reaching out, not weeks or months as with a traditional executive search.
Do you work with companies outside major Canadian markets?
Yes. Our core focus is Ontario — including Ottawa and Northern Ontario — and Atlantic Canada, and we're actively expanding into underserved markets including Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Section 02
For Executives
I'm a senior female executive — how do I join the network?
Reach out through our contact form or email Laura directly at laura@altevere.com. We review your background and track record, and if it's a fit, we'll start introducing you to relevant engagements as they come up.
Do I need to commit to one company full-time?
No — that's the model. Many of our executives run more than one fractional engagement at a time, deploying their expertise on their own terms rather than inside a single full-time role.
What kind of engagements should I expect?
Scope varies by company and division, from a set number of days per month to a defined project mandate. Terms are agreed upfront so expectations are clear on both sides.
Section 03
Engagement & Trust
Is our company information kept confidential?
Yes. Anything you share with Altevere, whether through this website or by email, is treated with complete confidentiality, and we will not disclose your business information to any third party without your explicit consent.
How do you vet the executives in your network?
Every executive is evaluated on track record, functional depth, and demonstrated leadership at the senior level — through the same retained-search discipline behind Gray Executive Search — before being introduced to a client. We only bring you operators we would trust to lead ourselves.
Why is Altevere exclusively for female executives?
Women hold roughly one in five C-suite seats in Canada, concentrated in support functions rather than the roles closest to strategy, capital, and the boardroom. That's not a talent gap — it's a visibility gap in the referral networks that quietly build C-suite reputations. Altevere exists to close that gap directly, by giving exceptional women the same access to senior mandates their male peers have always had.
